To our dear friends,
As we reflect on 2025, we celebrate the resilience and strength of our community and the progress we’ve made together. Kee Cha’a-neyr (KC) continues to address critical social, justice, and economic needs of the Yurok Tribal Community, including combating the opioid epidemic and removing barriers to vital services that promote health and wellness. Your support has made these achievements possible, and we are honored to share some highlights from this year.
Wellness and Healing Programs
KC supports the Yurok Tribal Court’s culturally grounded Wellness Court programs, which provide pathways for individuals and families involved in the justice system or struggling with substance abuse. These programs offer advocacy, diversion, and recovery services that have been recognized nationally as effective practices for Indigenous healing.
Reentry Services
Our Reentry Program helps formerly incarcerated individuals reintegrate into the community with supportive services, reducing recidivism and promoting stability for families.
MMIP Advocacy
The Missing and Murdered Indigenous People (MMIP) Project continues to advocate for families, maintain a critical database of MMIP cases in Northern California, and raise awareness through events like the Fourth Annual MMIP Awareness Day Walk, which drew over 200 participants.
Elder and Victim Support
KC provides advocacy for elders and vulnerable adults experiencing abuse or neglect, as well as services for victims of crime and domestic violence. These programs ensure safety and dignity for those most at risk.
Child Support Services
KC assists parents and guardians in meeting responsibilities to their children through the first Tribal Child Support Court in California, which pioneered an in-kind payment program now being piloted by a State Superior Court.
Public Health Initiatives
This year, KC distributed 2,131 units of Narcan, 534 fentanyl test strips, and 171 xylazine test kits through its Narcan Training Initiative. Our Elder Nutrition program delivered 4,272 meals and 328 food boxes to seniors, supporting health and food security. A shower and laundry trailer to assist those unhoused.

Impact in Numbers
In 2025, KC and the Yurok Tribal Court provided over 4,000 services to 659 clients, including:
- 536 services for Wellness and Reentry participants
- 2,967 outpatient days for substance use treatment and recovery
- 307 Child Support cases
- 254 services for victims of crime, abuse, and domestic violence
These numbers represent lives changed and futures restored—thanks to your generosity.

Looking Ahead
As government funding becomes increasingly uncertain, your support is more critical than ever. KC’s vision is to expand these culturally grounded programs that provide healing and justice for our people. Your investment will make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals and families facing significant barriers.
